Your initial appointment will include a detailed discussion about your symptoms, past medical history, lifestyle and goals. We'll carry out a thorough subjective and objective physical assessment before explaining our findings and developing a personalised treatment plan. Where appropriate, treatment may begin during your first session, along with exercises to start your recovery.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows us to assess the affected area. For lower limb injuries, shorts are recommended. For shoulder or neck problems, a vest top or loose-fitting T-shirt can be helpful.

At Empower we pride ourselves on our knowledge and skillset, with a combined total of almost 17 years of post graduate experience between us. We are both currently completing a sports medicine masters which has advanced our clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills, and enables us to put you on the right path with your injury.
We have access to hand held dynamometry in the clinic for strength testing, which gives you metrical data on where your deficits lie in testing and enables us to objectively measure your improvements as you move through the rehabilitation journey. We have access to onward referral for imaging, which enables us to refer for MRI scans, as deemed appropriate by the clinician. We also have links with sports medicine consultants and GPs, enabling us to refer you onward as deemed appropriate for additional treatments including injections etc.
